Howard Hirsch has been inducted into the Ely-Chicago chapter of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary, not-for-profit professional organization established in 1930. Members are chosen by invitation based upon their contribution to advancing the knowledge and practice of land economics. A-L-I’s goals are “to stimulate the study and practice of disciplines related to land economics; to foster the application and principles of land economics towards the solution of urban, suburban and rural problems; to encourage young people to study land economics, and to strive to improve the human condition through better use of our precious land resources”.

Michael J. Pfammatter has recently passed his examinations for becoming the latest AutoDesk Revit 2009 Certified Professional.

Howard Hirsch completed a three day course provided by the City of Chicago’s Department of Building and is now able to participate in the Department’s Self-Certification Permit Program. This program allows certain projects of limited types to be self-certified by the architect of record, significantly reducing the time required to receive a building permit.

Howard Hirsch was a guest jury member for Garret Eakin’s Undergraduate Interior Design Studio at the Art Institute of Chicago. The project was a single family house in Chicago.
