Lincoln Park Residence II The client purchased a 1980s vintage, two-story, stucco-clad, modern house for his own residence after a recent divorce. Not happy with the vanilla look of the structure, he wanted to add space, re-work the interiors and provide a grander, more traditional look to the exterior which would befit the Lincoln Park Neighborhood in which it was located. A new master bedroom suite with private roof deck was added as a third floor at the front of the house increasing its scale as seen from the street. A traditional limestone façade with ornate detailing, decorative iron work, French doors, gas lighting and a landscaped entrance court were designed in a French Eclectic Style. The interior was completely re-worked and an interior swimming pool was converted to an exterior pool within a landscaped garden. Numerous roof decks were provided to allow for private exterior space and to take advantage of the terrific skyline views.
