Hyatt Place Located on a prime parcel of land across the street from the Phoenix City Hall and the historic Orpheum Theater, Hyatt was looking at ways to incorporate their prototype design into a more urban setting. Hirsch Associates re-worked the prototype design, established for larger suburban sites, and proposed an 8-story version with pedestrian intensive uses on the ground floor, a parking deck, banquet facilities and a large amenity roof deck with swimming pool, all within this compact parcel of land. The curved corner of glass focused the building towards the Orpheum Theater and a new landscaped plaza developed on site.
